How stories and personal information are retained

Archived stories remain stored

When a creator chooses Archive story, the story content, sources, media, approvals, and evidence remain stored and available through their governed review routes. Archiving does not erase that information and stories cannot currently be restored to active status in Studio.

Archived data is retained while the creator's account remains active, unless a verified privacy-erasure request or another legal retention rule applies.

Purpose remains limited

Archived content is not reused for model training, unrelated analytics, or another secondary collection purpose without a separately documented lawful basis. If a legal obligation requires narrowly scoped records to be retained, those records may be used only for that retention purpose.

Privacy-erasure requests

Account closure or a verified erasure request starts an operational review of the account and personal information. The review confirms identity and scope, inventories database records and private media, considers applicable retention exceptions, coordinates provider requests, and records deletion or irreversible de-identification.

This process concerns personal-information compliance. It is not a promise that every creative project will be deleted automatically.
